Ya, the title of this blog comes directly from Wicked. I am listening to it right now, which is odd because I have never been enamored with the music (the play itself was fabulous but i never fell for the music), but when one of the songs came on while my ipod was on shuffle, it seemed to fit my mood.
There has not been much excitement in my life lately, just the everyday habits of schooling and working, but all that is about to change. This weekend we are going to Vegas for Justin's farewell. It is weird that he is finally leaving, he had a long wait. Since Hannah made honor roll last year, we are going to Love on Friday night. I cant express my excitement! The Beatles, Cirque du Soleil and CPK all in one night are rumored to cause seizures, I hope that is a false rumor. Also, our friends Trevor and Lauren are coming down to spend the weekend in Vegas also. Trevor and I will be golfing on Saturday, hopefully the girls can figure out something to do while we are enjoying a beautiful day at TPC.
As if all that wasn't enough, we are finally making my "bachelor" trip to New York next weekend. At the beginning of the year, I realized Yankee Stadium was about to go into its last season and neither me, chase nor my dad had ever been there. After discussing this with my dad, we decided this needed to change. The trip had originally been planned for a few weeks before the wedding, hence the bachelor trip name, but due to unforeseen circumstances (or a crazy Spanish teacher at BHS) we had to postpone the trip. We ended up hitting the jackpot. Now, we will be attending the final day game in the history of Yankee Stadium I.
I have spent all of 8 hours in NY, so I am beyond excited for the trip. Food, baseball, booing the Yankees, food, Broadway and 30 rock all in a few days? Sounds like one of my dreams! If anyone has suggestions for New York activities, let me know in the comments. You don't have to tell us the obvious things, those are taken care of, but I like to find something off the beaten path on every vacation.
I am enjoying the Wicked music way too much. I think this more accurately explains my current mental state than any adjectives I could use. Remember, no one mourns the wicked.

A Full Mind
Just a few things that are on my mind right now.
-Baseball "highlights" are the worst part of Sportscenter.
-I finished season 3 of 24 tonight. Way better than season 2.
-I need to find season 4...
-Can Eric Gagne possibly be any worse? Does anyone doubt that he was on steroids those two seasons when he was unhittable?
-Tiger Woods will win the Masters by 4 strokes. An amateur will finish in the top 15.
-Im excited to watch the Par 3 tournament while I work tomorrow afternoon.
-If I were Bill Self and my alma mater was offering a $6 million signing bonus and $3.5 million per year, I would go.
-If I were Kansas, I would not offer more than $2.5 million per year to keep him.
-Psycho T needs to return to UNC, so does Ty Lawson.
-The UCLA style of play will never win them a national championship.
-I already miss UNLV basketball. Its gonna be a long 7 months...
-My earliest memory is from a packed Thomas and Mack. I remember Tark being introduced and the shark would go around the top of the arena. Visiting teams would leave the floor instead of watch the fireworks and introductions. The only players I remember are Larry Johnson, Stacey Augmon and Greg Anthony.
-Why dont the fireworks intimidate anymore?
-Only 7 weeks until my wedding day.
-My parents are so supportive. I am glad they have let me make decisions and mistakes. It has taught me so much about life.
-There are new episodes of Scrubs, The Office and 30 Rock this week!
-Today is one of the days that I absolutely hate the game of golf. I went to the range and could not hit the dang ball. I have never been so frustrated while practicing, but I stuck around and tried to push through it to no avail...I will be back out there tomorrow.
-Lately I have been in a music funk. Im not really in the mood to listen to anything I have, and nothing new sounds good. This really frustrates me, I never listen just to listen, but that is how I have felt the last few days.
-I like blogging. It allows me to express myself and let others know what is going on in life. I dont care if no one else reads, I will still write. I write for me, not anyone else.
-I saw a flyer for a physics club meeting and thought of Alec.
-Tiffany has helped us so much with our announcements.
-I hope I have more energy tomorrow than today.
I think that is about it. I have more in my head, but nothing is forming into anything complete. Now that college basketball is over, I dont know what I will watch each night, but I am happy I wont have to hear Jay Bilas force his opinions on me.

It is oh so close
I am feeling spring break..even seeing it when I close my eyes. Right now, I am sitting in my backyard enjoying the last hour or so of a beautiful early spring day.
One of my new years resolutions is to improve my golf game. I know, thats not saying much, but it has been warm enough the last few days to take my swing practice from the garage or living room to the backyard. The local range isnt open yet, so I am depending on my trusty plastic wiffle balls. Its a good way to work on my swing. I had a breakthrough today! I lightened my grip and the swing came through more naturally. That will be one of many improvement made through the next 6 months.
On to college basketball...
Gonzaga got beat last night in their conference tournament, which basically guarantees that the MWC doesnt get three teams in. With the east coast bias that exists, the committee will never allow the WCC and MWC to get three bids, especially when they can throw another overrated big east team in! Hopefully Butler can come through tonight so another bubble spot doesnt get taken.
That is it for today. I did not get to enjoy the weather as much as I wanted to, since I had class from 12-6 this afternoon. Depressing...
